If it's just a word
- Sound it out - Look for stems, pre-fixes and smaller words - Break up the word - Use context clues - Use synonyms - Skip ahead and re-read - Use resources |

You should use the following sentence stem: I didn't get _____________ so I ___________ to find out what it meant. You should make 5 clarification strategies a night, please write them down.
